Poetry

Tuesday: Craft a poem inspired by an impressionist still life.
Wednesday: In honor of this past weekend’s Mad Men final, Write a poem inspired a favorite product.
Thursday: Close your eyes. Inhale. Exhale. Draft a poem about memories in the things you smell.
Friday: Try your hand at a dramatic monologue, a la Eliot’s “The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock.”
Saturday: Write a poem about your fondest childhood memory.
Sunday: Sunday is Brunch Day. Scribble down a little limerick about your favourite brunch activity.
Fiction
Monday: Explore tactics as you draft a dialogue about two people trying to drive to different places in the same car.
Tuesday: Explore the significance of place by describing how your character feels here:
Wednesday: Explore the human body from a new perspective. A little Stevenson inspiration–> http://ow.ly/N66hB
Thursday: Place your character in a room. What do they love abou this room? What do they hate about it? Will they leave?
Friday: Flash Fiction Friday!!Take 300 words to craft a moment of extreme loss for your character.
Saturday: Take a morality story and tell the epilogue. Inspired by Amelia Grey’s tale, which can be heard here on Snap Judgement–> http://ow.ly/NjrAx
Sunday: Setting-Mexico, Mid-Afternoon. Limit-450 words.
